Joseph Muzzio, MPT, MTC, Cert. DN, practices at the Security / Fountain Action Potential Physical Therapy clinic. Joseph earned a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst College in 1996. Additionally, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rutgers University in 1986. Joseph attained a Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) from the University of St. Augustine in 2000. In 2010, he completed his Level 2 Trigger Point Dry Needling Certification. Joseph has been practicing physical therapy for twenty one years and continues to cultivate his passion for patient care and professional growth daily.
Joe employs a multifaceted approach to care depending on the needs of each patient, utilizing manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilization and myofascial release, trigger point dry needling, kinesiology taping, as well as specific exercise and patient education. Throughout his career, Joseph has treated a diverse population of patients from individuals with chronic pain to aging athletes. Joe takes a “full body” approach to treating pain, focusing treatments on alignment, flexibility and core stability in order to maximize patient function.
When not working, Joseph enjoys spending time with his son, Aidan, hiking with his two German Shepherds, biking and snowboarding. Joe also practices yoga daily and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Jacob Losse, PT, DPT practices at the Security / Fountain location of Action Potential Physical Therapy. Jacob earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Exercise earned from Virginia Tech. In addition to his formal education, Jacob has a diverse background in fitness and coaching; he is a certified Crossfit Level 1 instructor, has worked as a fitness personal trainer, and has coached both wrestling and track.
Jacob’s approach to patient care is the integration of his education and training combined with his passionate commitment to excellence. An Eagle Scout, a collegiate athlete, and a former high school teacher, he has a proven track record of embodying the belief that ‘dedication to a goal and continual hard work’ is the key to success. Applied to his physical therapy practice, he works tirelessly with his patients and uses every tool available including corrective and therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques ad neuromuscular re-education. Each day he strives to help patients return to the things that are most meaningful in their lives, whether it’s gardening, running a 5k, or being able to lift a grandchild.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys hiking and backpacking, lifting weights, and Crossfit. When not on the move, he relishes reading a good fiction novel.
Greg Wilhelms, PT is a Licensed Physical Therapist who practices at the South Colorado Springs / Fountain location of Action Potential Physical Therapy. Greg holds his Physical Therapy (Degree) Certificate, earned at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, received from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE. A longstanding part of the Fountain - Security - Widefield physical therapy community, Greg has been treating patients in this area south of Colorado Springs for almost twenty years and has been practicing physical therapy for nearly forty years.
Greg’s tenure as a physical therapist has afforded him the opportunity to work in diverse settings with a variety of patients. Over the years, Greg has worked in outpatient rehabilitation centers and traditional orthopedic facilities, owning and operating clinics locally. He has worked in acute hospital settings and skilled nursing facilities, and in individual patient homes. Throughout his career, Greg has continued to fine tune his skills even further by taking over seventy continuing education courses.
Greg approaches his physical therapy practice in much the same way he does all things in life, with a relaxed style. Knowledgeable and highly trained, Greg puts patients at ease as he listens to their concerns, evaluates their condition or injury, and employs the most suitable techniques to remedy the pain and problems.
When not working, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids, watching sports, and gardening.
